Kit list
Layers, have a base layer or T-shirt, a long sleeved top and a light jacket.
If you’re walking in shorts have some trousers with you.
A waterproof jacket.
Something to carry 2 litres of water, water bladders are great and more convenient than bottles.
Socks, 3 or 4 pairs.
If you have them spare walking shoes or boots, if you get your feet wet fresh dry shoe or boots are a game changer.
Walking poles if you use them.
A head or handheld torch.
Any regular medication, painkillers and blister plasters.
Food for the day, we provide all the water.
Sun hat and sunscreen.
There are no toilets on the route so in line with ‘leave no trace’ bring a plastic bag for used tissue paper or wet wipes.
Your spare food and kit is to be left in the support vehicle in a bag that should measure no more than 30cm x 20cm x 60cm which is a typical supermarket ‘bag for life’ size.
You won’t have to carry all this, much of it will go in the support vehicle.
